EFTPS.COM and EFTPS.GOV
EFTPS ENROLMENT
Before you enroll in EFTPS.GOV, you'll need to have some information ready:
- Your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
For businesses, this is your EIN (Employer Identification Number). For individuals, this is your SSN (Social Security Number).
- Your financial institution information
- your financial institution's RTN
- your account number
- your account type (checking or savings).
If you have a question about your financial institution's RTN (Routing Transit Number), call them.
Enter and verify all information. After your information is validated, you will be presented with an Enrollment Confirmation page that includes an Enrollment Trace Number. Print this page for your records.
- Your confirmation materials will be created and mailed within 15 business days to the primary contact name and address you indicate.
- Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and instructions on how to obtain your Internet Password will be mailed to your official IRS address of record (this is the address that appears on your tax return or IRS documents).
Want to Add an Enrollment?
Once you are enrolled, you can add another enrollment with different financial institution account information. Just click on Additional Enrollment to maintain your original enrollment information with new financial institution account information.
